The European Union Is Open to Your Blockchain Questions in Upcoming AMA

By Daily Hodl Staff

If you’re curious to know how the European Union is planning to grow its blockchain ecosystem, the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum is organizing an online “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) session on June 18th at 6:00 p.m. CEST. The 90-minute session will be dedicated to questions about blockchain technologies with in-depth explanations and interactive discussions with panelists. The event will be live-streamed on their YouTube channel.

The group monitors blockchain-related initiatives in Europe and aims to communicate basic knowledge about the rapidly, yet often complex technology that promises to be transformative, disruptive and ubiquitous. Their goal is to reinforce Europe’s engagement as a leader in the space.

The Forum is preparing a public map of blockchain initiatives where developers can register their projects. The crowdsourced map will primarily focus on projects happening in the EU, but will also include projects from elsewhere.

Developers are encouraged to register their initiatives. Blockchain enthusiasts can also register blockchain events, such as conferences, hackathons and workshops. Approved calendar events will also be displayed on the public map.

The European Commission launched the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum in February with the support of the European Parliament to accelerate blockchain education and help spur a diverse range of projects. The European Commission and the European Parliament plan to invest $400 million in blockchain tech by 2020.
