In a series of tweets, the host of CNBC’s Crypto Trader says he believes the price of Bitcoin is “about to explode.”

Ran Neuner is basing his assessment primarily on Bitcoin’s end-of-the-year track record and a bullish outlook on the SEC’s upcoming decisions on two Bitcoin ETFs.

Ethereum

In a new video of the opening ceremonies from the Ethereum Hackathon in San Francisco, co-founder Vitalik Buterin talks about the history of Ethereum, and what it will take to create and fully realize Ethereum 2.0.

Ripple and XRP

A remittance company based in the Philippines is joining RippleNet.

According to The Manila Times, I-Remit will join Ripple’s network of banks and financial institutions that use Ripple’s blockchain technology for cross-border payments.

“The adoption of the technology will drive down transaction cost, enhance speed and scale, and minimize fraud vulnerability,” I-Remit told the local news outlet.

The popular cryptocurrency trading app Robinhood Crypto is expanding its reach in the US.

The app now allows the buying and selling of the five cryptocurrencies in Tennessee, Arkansas and Rhode Island.

In all, Robinhood Crypto now supports 24 states, including Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin.
