“We are empowering developers by releasing #TRON Accelerator, a $1 million USD program aiming to foster innovation within the #blockchain industry. Build your DApp on #TRON, shape the future! $TRX.”

The main idea of this initiative is to support consumer adoption of the blockchain through Tron’s ecosystem.

This year, the blockchain startup has closed the deal to buy the file-sharing service BitTorrent. TechCrunch reported the price of the deal at over $130 million in cash.

In addition, Tron successfully bought other platforms such as Project Atlas and the payment service Poppy app. This means Tron’s network currently processes more than one million transactions.

Registration for the accelerator program will open in December and the winners will be announced at Tron’s internternational summit in January 2019. A total of 56 winners are expected to be chosen with the first, second and third positions to receive $200,000, $100,000 and $50,000, respectively.

TRX is currently trading at $0.018885 with a total market capitalization of over $1.2 billion.
