Ripple uses the event to bring together participants engaged in payments, blockchain and financial services as well as reveal details on the future of its products.

Curis Wang, co-founder of blockchain incubator Bitrue Space, says he received a notice from Ripple on its shift to a virtual event.

“After careful consideration, we’ve made the decision to transition Swell Global into an exclusive online experience.

Although this is a unique way to connect, we are excited about the opportunity to engage with you this fall.”

Ripple is also working to engage with developers digitally, as it can no longer hold hackathons and meetups in person.

Ripple’s Xpring, which partners with and invests in companies that use decentralized technologies, is reaching out to XRP engineers who are building products on the XRP Ledger. The company says it’s looking to feature XRP-related projects in a new Developer Reflections series.
