Elon Musk Launches Foul Fragrance, Accepts Payment in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and Additional Altcoins

By Rhodilee Jean Dolor

Elon Musk is adding a new quirky product to his company’s lineup of goods and services that can be paid for with crypto.

The billionaire’s tunneling startup Boring Company just launched perfume called Burnt Hair, which Musk describes as “the finest fragrance on Earth.”

Musk says his company accepts payments for the $100 perfume in Dogecoin (DOGE). The world’s richest man is staunch advocate of the dog-inspired token, favoring it over the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC). In an interview with Bloomberg News in June, he says he promotes the meme coin because of “not that wealthy” people who encourage him to buy and support the crypto asset.

“And you can pay with Doge!”

Buyers can also checkout using the crypto payment platform BitPay, which supports Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), ApeCoin (APE), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin, Shiba Inu (SHIB), Euro Coin (EUROC) and the dollar-pegged stablecoins Gemini Dollar (GUSD), USD Coin (USDC), Pax Dollar (USDP), DAI, and Binance USD (BUSD).

The foul-smelling fragrance is set for shipment in the first quarter of 2023, but Musk says the perfume has already sold 10,000 bottles.

“10,000 bottles of Burnt Hair sold!

Can’t wait for media stories tomorrow about $1 million of Burnt Hair sold.”
