Boba Network Launches Subsquid Integration, Offering Fast and Affordable EVM Indexing

By Chainwire

April 20, 2023 – Palo Alto, California

Boba Network a multichain layer two optimistic rollup that aims to unlock the potential of rollup technology and enable interoperability between blockchains and the real world is pleased to announce a new integration with Subsquid.

Subsquid is a Web 3.0 indexer that enables developers to quickly and easily query blockchain data using GraphQL APIs.

With Subsquid’s support on Boba Network, developers can now enjoy lightning-fast transactions and fees up to 100 times lower than layer ones.

Currently running networks on top of three EVM chains, including Ethereum, BNB Chain and Avalanche, Boba Network offers a multichain layer two optimistic rollup that enables interoperability between blockchains and the real world.

With the launch of archives for boba-eth and boba-moonbeam, Subsquid’s managed service, called, ‘the Aquarium,’ now fully supports the Boba ecosystem and is currently available free of charge.

Web 3.0 developers can deploy their squid indexers as easily as a single command in the terminal, eliminating the frustration of maintaining the infrastructure that hosts their indexers.

Subsquid’s fast and affordable EVM indexing on Boba Network provides several benefits for developers, including Web 3.0’s fastest indexer up to and beyond 50,000 blocks per second familiar TypeScript-based configuration, GraphQL API ‘out-of-the-box,’ custom data targets such as Google BigQuery, external databases and CSV files 100% open source.

To get started with Subsquid on Boba Network, developers can visit the official documentation to familiarize themselves with the basic architecture of the toolkit.

They can then work through the quickstart guide, which shows how to auto-generate a basic GraphQL API from an EVM smart contract ABI.

Instructions for further configurations of the squid processor can be found in the EVM indexing article of the docs.

About Subsquid

Subsquid is the team behind squids, a new standard for Web 3.0 data extraction and transformation. Squids already power hundreds of applications across dozens of EVM, Substrate and WASM-based chains.

With modular architecture and a host of advanced features, Subsquid offers the most resource-efficient and developer-friendly way to build, test and deploy customized GraphQL APIs and ETLs for DApps and blockchain analytics.

About Boba Network

Boba Network is a multichain layer two optimistic rollup that aims to unlock the potential of rollup technology and enable interoperability between blockchains and the real world.

The protocol is fully compatible with EVM-based tools and has already deployed multichain support for Ethereum, Avalanche, BNB and Fantom, supporting lightning-fast transactions and fees anywhere from 40 to 100 times less than the respective layer one.

Boba Network is powered by HybridCompute™ technology that brings the power of Web 2.0 on-chain, with smarter smart contracts that allow developers to leverage off-chain compute and real-world data to deliver enriched experiences for decentralized applications.
