Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino says the company’s new wallet building kit will soon be available and open to all developers as he releases the product’s demo.
In a new thread on X, Ardoino says that the wallet development kit (WDK) will have the ability to store Bitcoin (BTC) and gas-fee abstraction, which removes the need for users to hold specific tokens to pay for blockchain transactions.
[adinserter block="1"]He expects the wallet development kit to launch in about one month.
“Here is a demo of the (Wallet Development Kit) WDK template wallet.
Ardoino also predicts that Tether’s new wallet-building kit will play a massive role in future crypto applications.
“WDK by Tether will be the building block for billions of wallets.”
Says the project’s website,
“WDK is a developer-first framework to create cross-chain wallets that are secure, extensible, and production-ready. It provides a single, stateless API to interact with Ethereum, Bitcoin, TON, and Spark (Lightning Network) – abstracting blockchain-specific complexity while keeping developers in full control of keys and data.”
