Bitcoin
Bitcoin bull Tim Draper says he didn’t predict the increased government scrutiny and regulation that hit BTC and crypto this year.
“I did not anticipate that the regulators would put a dark cloud over all this innovation. I had hoped that there would be some clear simple rules and we could then get on with it,” Draper told Forbes.
Despite increased regulation, Draper says he’s sticking by his bold BTC price forecast of $250,000 by 2022.
Ethereum and Zcash
The founder and CEO of Zcash is revealing his new take on Casper, the much anticipated proof-of-stake upgrade to the Ethereum network.
Zooko Wilcox-O’Hearn says impressive work from the developers involved has moved him from a skeptic to a believer in the tech.

Ripple and XRP
The countdown to Ripple’s 2018 Swell conference in San Francisco is underway.
The event starts on October 1st and features keynote speaker Bill Clinton, who is headlining a long list of influential speakers in finance and the blockchain industry.
VeChain and Wanchain
Trust Wallet, which was recently acquired by Binance, just added VeChain (VET) and Wanchain (WAN) to its long list of supported cryptocurrencies.
The wallet allows VeChain holders to stake their coins directly through the app.
