Gaming on the Blockchain – Which Coin Will Win?

By Daily Hodl Staff

Will the blockchain revolutionize gaming? Right now, there are a few projects to keep an eye on.

GameCredits

A universal currency for gamers is the end goal for GameCredits. The coin is designed to give gamers a currency they can use to buy games and purchase microtransactions. You can also earn coins through in-game reward systems and exchange them with other gamers to reward one another.

A recent announcement of a partnership with Unity gave GameCredits some serious street cred.

The coin is available on number of exchanges including Bittrex, Poloniex, Cryptopia, BitBay and HitBTC.

Enjin Coin

The main focus of Enjin Coin is to give developers and gamers a way to create and exchange virtual goods. For example, you can buy a magic cape for your character either from the game’s store or directly from players.

Under their model, gamers would potentially have the chance to trade assets from game to game, and grow their wallet with actual value on the blockchain.

After recently ending its ICO, Enjin Coin is available on Binance, Cryptopia, EtherDelta, HitBTC, Coss and more.

GameProtocol

This coin allows gamers to fund their favorite games as they move through the development process. Think Kickstarter for gaming – on the blockchain.

Slated to drop this month, GameProtocol has no official date for its crowdsale.

For a number of reasons, investing in ICOs is a dangerous game and it’s often best to buy a coin after it officially enters the market.
