Coinbase Adding ‘Many More’ Coins in 2018

A clip of Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong went viral this morning, sending an endorphin rush throughout the world of crypto and helping a number of coins rocket toward the moon.

Here’s what Armstrong told CNBC:

“It’s almost becoming like stock market 2.0 if you want to think of it that way, and the ones that are most exciting to us that we have on the platform today are bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin. But there’s many more that are going to be added to the platform in 2018 and I think this is going to be an exciting space for all kinds of institutional investors to make money.”

Coins like Ripple (XRP) have long been rumored to appear on Coinbase in the near future, and this is the hardest evidence yet that many coins are on the horizon at the biggest Bitcoin exchange in the US.
