69% of Crypto Trading Volume Dominated by BTC, ETH, XRP, BCH, LTC and USTD: Report

Despite the huge number of coins on the market, a new report shows 69% of all cryptocurrency trading volume worldwide is dominated by just six cryptocurrencies.

Diar, a digital assets and regulation trade publication, says those six coins are Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC) and Tether (USTD).

The report also finds that nearly half of all coins on the market have very little liquidity.

A snapshot on June 18, 2018 shows that roughly 1,600 coins had $12 billion in trading volume, with 803 coins moving less than $10,000 in trading volume.
