Bitcoin (BTC)
Bitcoin’s hashrate is on the rise in 2018 – an important sign that indicates the network is thriving and the number of Bitcoin miners is growing. In the first half of the year, the hash rate has grown more than 150%, according to the latest data from BitInfoCharts.
Ethereum (ETH)
One of the biggest sports organizations in the world is bringing digital collectibles to the Ethereum blockchain. Major League Baseball is partnering with blockchain startup Lucid Sight to create an app that lets fans trade digital avatars in a similar fashion to CryptoKitties.
Tron (TRX)

Basic Attention Token (BAT)
The crypto-funded web browser Brave now boasts 3 million active users on its platform. The browser uses the Ethereum-based token BAT to cut out the middleman in online advertising and fairly reward both publishers and advertisers.
Ripple and XRP
Ripple’s new CTO and former Chief Cryptographer David Schwartz says the company is expanding on a daily basis. “We’re trying to scale things, like building an ecosystem. We’re trying to scale software development, new features – we’re just growing in every possible way.”
Meanwhile, XRP has just been added to Paybis, a UK-based cryptocurrency exchange. Ripple owns 60% of the total supply of XRP.
Zilliqa (ZIL)
The developers of an Ethereum-based game in the style of Pokémon are exploring Zilliqa as a potential scalability solution. In a new post on Medium, the developers of ‘Etheremon’ say they’re looking to see whether the “higher throughput and low gas of Zilliqa’s sharding solution offer players better experience.”
