The new statement comes a day after a prominent Weiss Ratings econometrician revealed his impression of the speed of XRP.
After XRP won a recent poll on crypto transaction speed, Juan Villaverde decided to take the feedback and determine for himself how adept the coin is at moving crypto from one exchange to another. He then posted his findings on Twitter.

According to his bio, Villaverde is an econometrician and mathematician who has studied crypto for the last six years, and played a critical role in creating the Weiss Cryptocurrency Ratings model.
Ripple, which currently owns 60% of the total supply of XRP, has long touted the speed of XRP as a main advantage over other top cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
