Yahoo Finance Welcomes Crypto Traders: Buy and Sell Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin

In another big sign of mainstream crypto adoption, Yahoo Finance has quietly launched a new option to buy and sell Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin.

When looking at the latest price data of the four major coins, Yahoo visitors now see “Buy” and “Sell” buttons next to the ticker symbols.

A user who wants to buy Bitcoin on Yahoo, for example, will click “Buy” and then choose their crypto broker, i.e. Coinbase or Robinhood.

Yahoo facilitates the new crypto trading option the same way it handles stocks – through TradeIt, an API that links retail investors and app developers with any online financial broker.

So far, the option is only available in the US.
