From the impact of Ethereum futures to a new crypto-to-fiat exchange, here’s a look at some of the stories breaking in the world of cryptocurrency.
Ethereum (ETH)
Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee says the potential launch of Cboe Ethereum futures could actually cause a dip in the price of ETH and ease the pressure on Bitcoin.
Lee told Business Insider that since December “if one was bearish on any aspect of crypto but did not want to own the underlying, they could short BTC. They can now short ETH – means the net short on BTC in futures would fall.”
Ripple
Ripple has released a new video showing how RippleNet is designed to help small and medium enterprises. It focuses on how the network of banks and payment providers could help companies better understand transaction fees and timing.
New data from BitInfoCharts shows the Bitcoin Cash network successfully processed more than 2 million transactions on September 1st without triggering a raise in fees.
The spike in transactions was part of a community-led stress test of the BCH blockchain.
Vertcoin (VTC)
Vertbase has launched its long-awaited, fully compliant Vertcoin-to-USD exchange. The platform is registered as a money services business with the United States Department of the Treasury to facilitate the buying and selling of VTC.
Tron (TRX)
Tron is reaching out to its community to create quality merch and spread the word about TRX.
Original art files from Tron are now available via Google Drive to boost anyone who’s trying to make handbags, t-shirts, coins and more.
EOS
EOS has won the Best in Protocols/Platforms Award from the BlockWorld 2018 conference in San Jose.
The awards are handed out in 25 categories to winners chosen by a web-based crowd vote.
Stellar (XLM)
Stellar is now live on the Exodus wallet.
The addition is part of the platform’s new release, which includes a list of new features, user interface improvements and bug fixes.
