From Bitcoin’s institutional FOMO to a huge hiring spree at Ripple, here’s a look at some of the stories breaking in the world of crypto.
Bitcoin
Crypto investor and Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz says institutional investors will determine when the next Bitcoin bull run happens. He believes Fidelity’s entrance into the cryptocurrency market could trigger an institutional FOMO that pushes Bitcoin to new highs early next year.
“I think Q1, Q2. If the institutions start coming in, we’ll put in new highs,” Novogratz told Bloomberg in a new interview.

The Ethereum Foundation has just issued a big round of grants to support 20 people and organizations building on the Ethereum blockchain.
It’s the fourth round of grants from the Foundation, totaling more than $3 million.

IOTA and EOS
Space exploration startup Spacebit says it’s gearing up to launch LinkX in the coming months. The platform is built on EOS, and is designed to “create a more efficient model for access to low-Earth and deep space communication networks using decentralized ground station networks enhanced with distributed ledger technology and smart contracts.”
The company is also exploring whether IOTA could help power autonomous vehicles in space.
“Spacebit is also looking to explore IOTA architecture, ensuring interoperability with EOS, which will include some of the first Qubic protocol layer applications over the Tangle. The architecture of IOTA will be used for specific space related applications such as an IoT network of multiple space vehicles using Qubic for AI and outsourced heavy computing.”
NEO
NEO’s mainnet has now been up and running for two years, a milestone the company celebrated in its latest blog post.
“The NEO MainNet has been running in stable capacity for two years since its release. As an early blockchain project, NEO has spent the past two years improving its core technology, enriching and extending its ecosystem, and expanding the global presence of the NEO community.”
