Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted a link to Bitcoin’s white paper to more than four million followers, marking the 10-year anniversary of the paper’s release.
Dorsey also dropped a link to an overview on how Bitcoin works – designed to pimp Square’s Cash.App.
Dorsey is a prominent supporter of Bitcoin. He has previously stated that he believes Bitcoin will become the world’s ‘single currency.’
“The world ultimately will have a single currency, the internet will have a single currency. I personally believe that it will be Bitcoin,” Dorsey said, as reported by The Times of London. He believes it will happen “probably over 10 years, but it could go faster.”
Dorsey is the second mega user on Twitter to tweet about Bitcoin in recent weeks.
Entrepreneur Elon Musk recently sent off a lighthearted tweet about Bitcoin to his 23 million followers.
The tweet triggered a brief ban from Twitter’s algorithm, which thought Musk’s account may have been hacked.
