From a crypto investor’s overview of Bitcoin to reports of big bonuses at Ripple, here’s a look at some of the stories breaking in the world of crypto.
Bitcoin
Ex-Facebook product strategist Tomer Federman says Bitcoin and crypto have created “limitless” and “mind blowing” opportunities. In a new interview on the Hacker Noon Podcast, the CEO of crypto hedge fund Federman Capital says,
“When you take a step back, even with Bitcoin being, at the time of this recording, around $3500, generally, even last year, Bitcoin was worth $1000 at one point. Today, we’re still talking about an asset class that performs incredibly well over the past few years. I think this is just the beginning, as I said earlier.
Some of the projects I see right now and some of the opportunities are just limitless. The ability for people to transact with no intermediaries involved, and for the transactions to be recorded in an open way and settled almost immediately, the opportunities for building on top of the technology is just mind blowing. I’m super bullish on the space. I’m really excited about the opportunities. If people want to learn more, they definitely should look more into it. I remember people talking about the internet saying that it will never work, so I’m excited to see what’s next.”
Ripple and XRP
Ripple is reportedly offering massive sign-on bonuses paid out in XRP to prospective new hires.
CoinDesk says an engineer who wants to remain anonymous showed the news outlet a recruiting email offering up to $3 million in XRP in addition to a generous salary.
Ripple says it’s going above and beyond to hire quality talent, but won’t comment on whether it offers XRP packages to employees.
“We move fast to acquire the best talent out there – especially considering the highly competitive nature of other startups who want to hire similar candidates.”

[the_ad id="42537"] [the_ad id="42536"]We still have a lot of work ahead of us. Need to make sure the tech is solid and come up with a plan to test everything and safely upgrade the Litecoin network.
