Bohemian Rhapsody is the frontrunner on prediction platform Veil. The Augur-based blockchain currently shows 128.3 ETH up for grabs, worth approximately $17,000 as crypto enthusiasts vote on which film they think will win Best Picture at this year’s 91st Academy Awards, airing on Sunday, February 27th.
Veil allows users you buy for (i.e. long) or against (i.e. short) any film, and sell those positions if public perception, and price, changes.
Veil recently introduced a new feature, Wagers, to build liquidity on its user-generated markets. The feature allows users to share bets with a link that can be sent to friends, via social media, or embedded on a website.
Veil is hosting four markets for the Oscars with Alfonso Cuarón as the favorite for Best Director for Roma.
