As crypto and blockchain explode on the international scene, several of the biggest minds in new tech are planning to meet and discuss the next steps in human advancement.
Noted American writer, economist and tech advocate George Gilder is convening some of the biggest names in tech such as billionaire investor and Bitcoin bull Tim Draper; billionaire venture capitalist and co-founder of PayPal, Peter Thiel; head of Forbes Media, Steve Forbes; Microsoft president Brad Smith; and Google’s director of engineering and resident futurist Ray Kurzweil for a summit called COSM in October.
According to the announcement, the summit will focus on blockchain, crypto, artificial intelligence, biotech and 5G, and will explore the converging technologies, the changing face of finance and “life after Google”.
Says Gilder,
“The COSM Summit will unveil a global agora of opportunity for both businesses and consumers. It will open doors to new tools and therapies, revived data integrity and transformed networks. Upended will be the currently porous pyramid of insecure centralized systems as the COSM enables an exciting vision of a virtual and viral technology that will both surprise and inspire us.”
The summit is happening at a technological inflection point, with big players like Facebook developing blockchain-based platforms for widespread adoption of digital assets and tech moguls like Elon Musk announcing ambitious and potentially game-changing tech projects merging man with machine.
