Turkey’s most successful football team, Galatasaray Sports Club, is partnering with sports and entertainment-focused blockchain firm Chiliz to create “fan tokens” giving fans access to the team’s merchandise and event information, among other perks.
The team follows Atlético de Madrid, which became the first La Liga team to join Socios.com, the creator of a new app for football fans, where users can earn voting rights to “influence the clubs [they] love.”
