Cryptocurrency whale watchers are tracking the movement of millions of dollars worth of XRP.
On Monday morning, a wallet activated by Ripple founder and former CEO Chris Larsen received 60,000,000 XRP from a wallet of unknown origin.
About five minutes later, the wallet attributed to Larsen sent 56,994,820 XRP to a separate, unknown wallet.

Although the exact reason for the transfers is unknown, users on the XRP-based forum XRPChat have in the past speculated that Larsen is the sole owner of the wallet.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin whales appear to be awakening from a late December slumber.
In the last 24 hours, some of the biggest Bitcoin holders in existence moved 10,350 BTC worth about $74.9 million.
Three of the transfers involved crypto moving from unknown wallets to crypto exchanges, where they could potentially be sold on the open market.

- 988 BTC (7,194,244 USD) transferred from unknown wallet to Bitstamp
- 923 BTC (6,789,075 USD) transferred from Coinbase to unknown wallet
- 1,275 BTC (9,348,647 USD) transferred from unknown wallet to OKEx
- 1,000 BTC (7,396,436 USD) transferred from Coinbase to unknown wallet
