Cryptocurrency whale watchers are tracking the movement of millions of dollars worth of XRP.
On Monday morning, a wallet activated by Ripple founder and former CEO Chris Larsen received 60,000,000 XRP from a wallet of unknown origin.
About five minutes later, the wallet attributed to Larsen sent 56,994,820 XRP to a separate, unknown wallet.
Although the exact reason for the transfers is unknown, users on the XRP-based forum XRPChat have in the past speculated that Larsen is the sole owner of the wallet.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin whales appear to be awakening from a late December slumber.
In the last 24 hours, some of the biggest Bitcoin holders in existence moved 10,350 BTC worth about $74.9 million.
Three of the transfers involved crypto moving from unknown wallets to crypto exchanges, where they could potentially be sold on the open market.
