Trading Giant Robinhood Rolling Out Crypto Wallets Next Month

By Daily Hodl Staff

Financial services titan Robinhood says it’s gearing up to offer cryptocurrency wallets to its customers.

Users will be able to test buying, sending, and receiving all cryptocurrencies supported by Robinhood starting next month, according to a new post on the company’s blog.

“The first customers will begin testing crypto wallets on Robinhood [next month]. We’ll share their experience and feedback on our blog and Twitter regularly so you can follow along and get an under-the-hood look into what we’re building.

After that, we will continue to roll out access to more and more customers through our waitlist.”

The announcement comes on the heels of the investment firm introducing commission-free cryptocurrency investing weeks ago, which allows traders to automatically purchase supported coins on a schedule of their choice for as little as $1 without any commission fees.

“We’ve introduced [commission-free crypto investing] to help [users] focus on long-term growth, reduce risk, and lower the stress of timing the markets.

With other platforms charging as much as 4% on each trade, this kind of practical investing strategy isn’t practical anywhere but Robinhood.”

Currently, Robinhood supports seven cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Bitcoin SV (BSV), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), and Litecoin (LTC).
