Dogecoin (DOGE) rival Shiba Inu (SHIB) is the number one trending coin on the world’s largest crypto trading platform, closely followed by one of its biggest competitors.
According to Binance’s Trending Altcoin list, Shiba Inu is the top trending crypto asset in the last seven days, followed by Floki Inu (FLOKI), another fast-rising meme coin originally inspired by tech billionaire Elon Musk.
Also making an appearance on the list is Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) the native token of Shiba Inu’s decentralized exchange (DEX) and the coin that will be used for gas fees on Shibarium, the highly anticipated layer-2 project for the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Shiba Inu’s trading page is also the fourth most visited on Binance in the last month, according to the exchange.
While the Shiba Inu community awaits Shibarium, the FLOKI ecosystem has been bustling on the heels of a vote to burn 5 trillion tokens, or about half its supply.
The team has also released an updated roadmap for the year.
FLOKI has currently outrun the rest of the crypto markets by a massive margin since the open of 2023, currently up 520% since January 1st, even after a dip from local highs.
At time of writing, SHIB is trading for $0.000012, down 6% on the week and up 52% since January 1st.
