Whales are moving their Bitcoin and XRP holdings in a slew of giant transactions as the broader crypto market continues to consolidate.
In all, a total of 22,860 BTC worth $419.4 million was transferred in the last 36 hours or so. The largest transaction during the timeframe involves moving 11,723 BTC worth $216.2 million from one wallet of unknown origin to another.
[adinserter block="1"]In another transaction, a whale transferred 3,000 BTC worth $55 million from an unknown wallet to web-based Bitcoin wallet Xapo.
In a separate transaction, a big-time Bitcoin holder relocated 2,500 BTC worth $45.2 million from a wallet of unknown origin to crypto exchange Bitfinex. Here’s the summary of other recent BTC transactions:
- 2,000 BTC worth $36.5 million transferred from wallet of unknown origin to Bitfinex
- 1,500 BTC worth $27.5 million transferred from wallet of unknown origin to Bitstamp
- 1,579 BTC worth $29 million transferred from Coinbase to wallet of unknown origin
- 558 BTC worth $10 million transferred from Coinbase to Binance
Meanwhile, whales of Ripple’s native asset are also making their presence felt after moving over 821 million XRP worth $435 million in the same time period. The largest transaction witnessed the relocation of 246.85 million XRP worth $134.5 million between two unknown wallets.
In another transaction, a high-stakes crypto holder shifted 70 million XRP worth $36.3 million between two wallets of unknown origins.
In a different transaction, a whale moved 59.69 million XRP worth $32.9 million from an unknown wallet to crypto exchange CEX.io. Here’s the summary of all other XRP transactions within the last day and a half:
- 41 million XRP worth $20.9 million transferred from wallet of unknown origin to wallet of unknown origin
- 10 million XRP worth $5 million transferred from wallet of unknown origin to Bitstamp

- 22.93 XRP worth $11.5 million transferred from wallet of unknown origin to Binance

- 47.93 million XRP worth $24.4 million transferred from unknown wallet to wallet of unknown origin
- 50.25 million XRP worth $25.7 million transferred from unknown wallet to wallet of unknown origin
- 13.58 million XRP worth $7.1 million transferred from wallet of unknown origin to Nexo
- 10 million XRP worth $5.3 million transferred from Bittrex to wallet of unknown origin
- 36 million XRP worth $19.1 million transferred from unknown wallet to wallet of unknown origin
- 39 million XRP worth $21 million transferred from unknown wallet to wallet of unknown origin
- 15 million XRP worth $8.1 million transferred from wallet of unknown origin to Bitkub
- 50 million XRP worth $26 million transferred from CryptoCom to Binance
