A new Yahoo! report on Alibaba founder Jack Ma and his recent comments about Bitcoin shows just how far crypto is creeping into the mainstream.
The report includes a list of “select financial stocks.” Traditional stocks such as American Express, Prudential Financial and JP Morgan Chase are listed along with several crypto-to-USD trading pairs.
The inclusion of cryptocurrencies with traditional stocks is part of a normalizing trend of digital currency assets.
Last week, four cryptocurrencies were added to the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database, one of the most well-respected resources for financial indicators that is widely cited by mainstream outlets.
Cryptocurrencies have also inspired a new rating system by the Chinese government, which ranks the top 30 coins according to three factors: technology, application and innovation. EOS topped the list in the most recent publication.
The following cryptocurrencies were listed in the Yahoo! report, as of 10:15 a.m. EST.
