The CEO of crypto hedge fund Morgan Creek Capital says the Wolf of Wall Street doesn’t understand crypto.
During a segment on Power Lunch, CNBC played a clip of the infamous penny-stock trader Jordan Belfort, aka the Wolf of Wall Street, saying there’s “no good reason” why crypto should exist, other than as a scheme to make money. Morgan Creek CEO Mark Yusko didn’t miss a beat, pointing out that the technology behind crypto is the key. He calls Bitcoin the most secure network and the largest computer network on the planet – 7,500x more powerful than the next, most powerful supercomputer.
Morgan Creek Capital just launched a crypto fund for institutional investors, featuring Bitcoin along with nine altcoins.
